The first Jubilee to visit since the 1960's

We are thrilled to announce that 45596 ‘Bahamas’ will be visiting us from the 5th July until 11th August.

Whilst here, she will feature in both our 1940’s Weekend and Steam Gala, as well as running Driver Experience courses and a Pie and Pea evening train. She will also be hauling our standard services on selected dates.

CALENDAR OF EVENTS FOR BAHAMAS

July 5th – Driver Experience – Come and drive Jubilee 45596 ‘Bahamas’ on a full round trip from Rowsley South to Matlock and return, join our trained crews on a once in a lifetime experience with your hand on the regulator of the first Jubilee to traverse the line sine the 1960’s.

Your friends and family can join you and travel on the train, photos and video stops are part of the trip. You get to feel what it was like to haul a train back up the valley to Rowsley back in the days of steam.

July 6th & 7th – Bahamas will be hauling our service trains over our 1940’s Weekend. Further details about the weekend are available Here.

July 14th – Sunday Lunch Train

Our Sunday Lunch Train will operate on Sunday 14th July and will depart Rowsley South station at 12:00

Travel through the beautiful Derwent Valley whilst you enjoy a delicious homemade 3 course meal and relax in our company.

Enjoy your journey hauled by 45596 ‘Bahamas’, taking you back to the golden age of steam hauled dining trains.

Served by our attentive serving staff, you will enjoy a delicious menu and onboard bar serving hot & cold drinks and locally brewed alcoholic beverages.

July 20th & 21st – Shed Tours – A not to be missed opportunity for a guided tour around our main running shed, including our workshop as well as access to the footplate of Bahamas. Tickets for the Shed Tours can be pre-booked shortly. Please note that Shed Tours cost £5 per head and are non-refundable and do not entitle you to any travel on the trains.

July 27th – Bahamas will be hauling our standard 3 trip service to Matlock and return. Bahamas will also haul a Pie and Pea Evening Land Cruise, tickets for this can be purchased by clicking Here.

July 28th – Bahamas will be hauling our high season steam 4 trip service to Matlock and return.

August 3rd & 4th – Shed Tours – A not to be missed opportunity for a guided tour around our main running shed, including our workshop as well as access to the footplate of Bahamas. 10th & 11th August – Bahamas will star in our steam gala, hauling a range of passenger and freight workings. Further details for this event will be available soon.
