About

28th September 2024 6:00 am - 4:00 pm

Guided challenge walk from the village of Edale with local guide – Sarah Lister – author of Mountain Walks Kinder Scout. We will set off at dawn to watch the sunrise and spend the day up high walking along the Mam Tor Ridge, up Win Hill and along the southern edge of Kinder Scout. We’ll walk at a conversational pace and take short breaks. There will be a longer break for lunch. I’ll point out places for comfort breaks and I’ll ask you to take all tissues and other waste away with you. Please note that the public toilets in Edale won’t be open when you arrive. You’ll need a headtorch, comfortable walking boots or trainers with good grip, comfortable walking clothes, extra warm layers, waterproofs, 2 litres of water, and plenty of food/snacks.This event is for adults only. You’ll need a good level of fitness to complete this route. You can join my training walks in the build up to doing this in September.A weather forecast, parking details and a full kit list will be provided a day or two before the event
