Historic Waterways Tour: Celebrating the Cascade at Chatsworth

Join an expert from our landscape team on a walking tour of Stand wood, exploring the historic waterways which feed the Chatsworth Estate. The tour will guide visitors to the lakes at the top of the Stand Wood, before following a trail through the historic woodland discovering the water courses and human interventions that are dotted throughout.

This tour will offer plenty of opportunity to speak to our landscape team and ask questions about the historic water courses and how they are managed, and Stand Wood and its importance to the Chatsworth Estate.

The tour will take place whatever the weather so please dress appropriately. We recommend sturdy boots or wellies and warm wet weather clothes. Please note that dogs are not permitted on the landscape tours. The route includes some steep inclines and steps and walking along forest tracks with the potential for mud. Unsuitable for buggies or wheelchairs.
