Leek is hosting its very own beer festival to commemorate Ninkasi, the Sumerian goddess of beer and brewing!
Well regarded with worshippers of the hop, Leek is a great beer drinking town and many visitors praise the range of pubs and how welcoming they are .
This 2 day festival taking place on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd November will include a procession around the town of a figure of Ninkasi made by local artist Chris Thompson celebrating women in pubs.
