Autumn Marketing Campaign 2026

An overview of our 2026 autumn marketing activity, promoting the Peak District as the go-to UK destination for rejuvenating autumn short breaks.

This October we launched our Autumn campaign which will run until the end of November with a second phase planned for winter breaks in the new year.

The campaign will promote the Peak District as the go-to UK destination for rejuvenating autumn short breaks. It highlights our natural beauty, cosy stays, and seasonal experiences to boost off-peak bookings and visitor spend.

With a target audience of young explorers and seasoned discovery seekers who are looking for weekend escapes to the country.

The campaign runs for 8 weeks from October 2026, with activity across Visit Peak District & Derbyshire's digital platforms and local radio.

The Concept

Autumn has everything needed to become a compelling reason to travel: dramatic colour, atmospheric landscapes, crisp outdoor days, seasonal food, warm hospitality and the natural invitation to slow down & stay.

Together, the creative platform and delivery plan are designed to make autumn not merely an alternative to peak season, but one of the best ways to experience the Peak District, Derbyshire and Derby.

The Peak gets you here. Post-Peak Plans give you reasons to stay.

Target Audience

  • Young professionals and urban weekenders
  • Outdoor audiences
  • Flexible off-peak travellers.
  • Couples, families, and friend groups (ages 25–55)
  • UK-based travellers seeking budget-friendly, culture and nature-focused breaks
