The Visit East Midlands Tourism Awards - Derbyshire
Organised by Visit Peak District & Derbyshire in collaboration with Visit Derby, the Visit East Midlands Tourism Awards - Derbyshire are a celebration of the passionate, hardworking and distinctive businesses who continually raise the bar of our world-class tourism offer.
The awards showcase excellence and outstanding achievement across the area’s £3.58bn tourism and hospitality sector, recognising the achievements of tourism businesses whilst highlighting the sector’s vital contribution to the local economy.
There are 14 awards categories in total, covering different aspects of the tourism industry, ranging from hotels, B&Bs and campsites to pubs, visitor attractions, unique experiences, and the hardworking people behind the businesses.
Applications are open until 23.59 Sunday 26 July 2026

How to apply
Before applying we recommend that you take some time to carefully read through the resources below, make sure that you are applying for the right category and are happy with the terms and conditions; if your business is shortlisted you will, depending on the category, receive an unannounced visit from the judge, by applying you are agreeing to either reimburse or waive the cost of the visit.
Applications must be submitted through the on-line application portal which can be accessed by clicking here, you can work on your application in stages, it allows you to save and return. However we recommend that you download the relevant application below, this is a word document, and write your application in this off-line format before copying and pasting the information into the application portal.
In partnership with the VisitEngland Awards of Excellence, Peak District, Derbyshire & Derby Tourism Awards winners will be put forward to the national awards in the hope of being shortlisted.
Award entries are easy to complete and are open to all leisure and hospitality businesses in Derbyshire and Derby across 14 categories. Businesses can enter more than one category if relevant.
Entering the awards is free for members of Visit Peak District & Derbyshire or Visit Derby, for non-members the fee is £150.00 + VAT per category. If you would like to join us as a member please contact Lisa Woolhouse at lisa.woolhouse@visitpeakdistrict.com

2026 Peak District, Derbyshire & Derby Tourism Award Winners
Winners have been announced for Peak District, Derbyshire & Derby at East Midlands Tourism Awards Ceremony.
The region’s outstanding tourism businesses took centre-stage as the winners of the 2026 Peak District, Derbyshire & Derby Tourism Awards and the Nottinghamshire Tourism Awards were announced at a glittering joint awards ceremony – celebrating the best of the destination’s thriving £3.58bn visitor economy.
The awards were held in partnership with VisitEngland and Gold winners in each core category will now have the opportunity to represent the region at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence in June 2026 – the highest national accolade in English tourism.
