Peak District National Park Volunteer Day-Members Event

This volunteer day will allow you to get stuck in and help improve infrastructure for the Park’s visitors

    About

    18th June 2025 10:00 am - 3:30 pm

In collaboration with the Peak District National Park Foundation, this volunteer day will allow you to get stuck in and help improve infrastructure for the Park’s visitors whilst helping nature thrive. Activities will be confirmed 4-6 weeks before the event, but may include: gates and fencing repairs, cutting back or surfacing footpaths, improving path drainage/run off, or general tidying and maintenance of visitor areas.

Get involved and help to protect important habitats whilst ensuring our visitors can enjoy the Peak District with ease.

A typical volunteer day will run as follows (details to be confirmed 4-6 weeks in advance)

    • 10am - Meet PPCV leader(s) at designated meeting point, briefing from PPCV leader(s) and distribution of tools & equipment.
    • 10.30am to12.30pm - Volunteer activity under PPCV Leader(s) supervision, with breaks to enjoy your own drinks & snacks.
    • 12.30pm to 1.30pm - Lunch (not provided), usually outdoors.
    • 1.30pm to 3.30pm - Volunteer activity, with more breaks as required.
    • 3pm to 4pm - Departure. Finish times vary depending on the group, activity and time of year. Latest 4pm in summer or 3pm in winter.

Please note this is a rough guide, and we may adjust timings and activities to suit the weather conditions and groups we are working with on the day.
