Rock Mill Centre

Welcome to Rock Mill Centre, our friendly volunteers are here to chat, share local knowledge and point you in the right direction. We have plenty of guides to nearby walks and attractions, plus a cosy café, monthly exhibitions and a selection of local art and produce for sale.

Opposite our gate is a viewing platform with one of the best views over the Torrs Park and dramatic river gorge. Within minutes from the Centre you will find yourself enjoying the rivers Goyt and Sett as well as the spectacular Millenium Walkway.

Our volunteers can help you decide where to go and what to see - from shops, restaurants, and pubs to parks, viewpoints and historic landmarks.

Later this year we will have interactive displays about local animals, our rivers and this special landscape. Rock Mill Centre hosts the Littlest Theatre in New Mills, the painting archive of the Brian Nolan Trust and a crawl-through mineshaft - definitely not to be missed!
