Artist & Artisan Fair

This is the first event of this kind to be held at the historic textile museum.Media will include painting, sculpture, glass, ceramics, photography, printmaking, metalwork, woodworking and textiles (including a weaving demo by resident weaver Sue Russell).Simultaneously, and sharing the big spinning floor, there's also a collaborative exhibition 'Standing in this Space', showcasing Rachel Carter's and the Legacy Makers' group installation that pays tribute to the millions of un-named working women and African-American slaves and plantation workers who underpinned the development of the East Midlands' cotton industries during the Industrial Revolution.
