Aston on Trent Well in the Making

This ancient custom is all but unique to Derbyshire. It's the art of decorating wells and springs with pictures made using only natural materials.

The Well Dressing is made in the week running up to the festival and visitors are welcome to come along and see how it's done! We encourage people to get involved and do some petaling.

Making of the Well will be Monday 1st July -Friday 5th July.

Petalling times are 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Aston on Trent War Memorial Hall, at the corner of Chellaston Lane and Weston Road DE72 2AX.

This will be a “see the Well in Making” times rather than participitation

Usual times are - 9:30-12, 13-15:30, 16:30-21:00
