Step back in time and experience the elegance, creativity, and charm of the Georgian era in the heart of beautiful Buxton. From captivating talks and hands-on workshops to dazzling Regency balls, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
Now in its third year, the festival arrives with prestigious new accolades, having recently won the Silver Award for Festival/Event of the Year at the 2026 Visit Peak District, Derbyshire & Derby Tourism Awards. The recognition solidifies the festival’s reputation as a premier cultural highlight in the East Midlands, celebrating the town’s golden age of elegance and architectural splendour.
The 2026 event will delve deeper into the complexities of the era, exploring not only the iconic fashion and architecture but also the social and political currents of Georgian and Regency life.
Visitors can expect an expanded programme of immersive activities, including:
- Signature Social Events: The lively Cavendish Ceilidh and the exquisite Regency Ball, held in the breathtaking Assembly Rooms of the Crescent.
- Expert Craftsmanship: Workshops throughout the week with artisans and specialist makers such as dyers and milliners from around the UK.
- Living History: Historic markets, themed promenades, guided walks, and period demonstrations in the Pump Room and Crescent.
