A whole host of guided and self guided trails, in a celebration of the great outdoors.

18th to 27th September 2026

Back for a 3rd year. The High Peak Walking Festival is a celebration of the region’s stunning landscapes and outdoor activities. Set amidst the picturesque backdrop of the Peak District National Park, the festival offers a diverse array of events tailored for walkers and ramblers of all ages and abilities.

From guided walks through rolling hills and lush valleys to adrenaline-pumping hikes and self guided routes through local towns and villages, the festival aims to showcase the natural beauty and outdoor opportunities of the High Peak.

Participants can explore our charming villages, historic sites, and scenic routes that highlight the area's rich heritage and breathtaking vistas. Local guides and experts offer lead themed walks, providing insights into the High Peak unique landscape and historic connections.

By promoting sustainable tourism and active recreation, the High Peak Walking Festival not only celebrates our breathtaking landscapes but also supports local businesses.
