A weekend of family fun and entertainment featuring a “Floating Market” and Historic Working Boats, market stalls, live music, fairground attractions, food and drink.
Celebrate the historic village of Shardlow with 50 Grade II listed buildings, follow the Trent and Mersey towpath, meet the narrowboat community and enjoy a weekend of history, heritage and entertainment. Discover the workings of the vintage narrowboats, their importance in the transport of goods, the social heritage of life on the waterways as you learn of yesteryear. Visit Shardlow Heritage Centre and The Magic Attic Archives for a glimpse of local history and heritage, including various old maps. The local church will also be open for visitors along with a floating market with demonstrations by local crafts persons.
