The Old Original Bakewell Pudding Shop - Pudding Making Experience

As a family-run business and proud makers of the original Bakewell Pudding, we love bringing people together through hands-on experiences. Our famous pudding has been baked and sold on these very premises since the 1800s, and now it’s your turn to create your own.

Join us in our test bakery, where you’ll craft your very own Original Bakewell Pudding to take home. Along the way, you’ll uncover the fascinating history behind this iconic treat, and perhaps even pick up a few closely guarded trade secrets.

Depending on the package you choose and the size of your group, the experience lasts around one hour (including baking time). Payment is required in full at the time of booking, prior to arrival and the experience can be booked up to a year in advance!

You can enjoy this fun, interactive activity at any time of day. If we happen to be particularly busy, and your booking includes a meal, your two-course dining experience will be hosted at our sister venue, The Wheatsheaf, just across the road.
