Fantastic reservoir walks and activities to enjoy this Autumn

We all know that autumn can bring soggy days and water sodden tracks... take the chance this autumn to visit one of Derbyshire's wonderful reservoirs in our region. They have lots of different walking trails, which are as weatherproof as they get, lots of parking and some fantastic activities for all the family this Autumn!

Severn Trent’s Carsington Water has something for everyone this autumn from Spooky the Ghost’s Halloween trail (running over October half term), three different walking trails and our monthly Artisan Market- which is on the third Sunday of every month. You can explore up to 7.5 miles of breath-taking views across the water and vibrant woodland.

Autumn at Severn Trent’s Tittesworth Water is the perfect time to enjoy stunning scenery and explore the meadows and woodlands, all while being overlooked by the rocky ridge of The Roaches. Or why not experience our Autumn Artisan Market on Sunday 20^th October and our ‘Spooky the Ghost’ Halloween trail during the October half term.

With accessible trails at both sites for wheelchairs and pushchairs, plus free accessible equipment hire such as mobility scooters available from the Visitor Centre, everyone from babies to grandparents can enjoy what our beautiful reservoirs have to offer- whatever the weather!

After exploring the reservoir walking trails, why not stop off at one of the Visitor Centres and enjoy a warming drink and a cake from the café. Or why not check out the fantastic playgrounds and Severn Trent’s play trails, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy. If you’re at Carsington Water then take some time to go into the Wonderful World of Water- a completely free exhibition with lots of hands on activities.

Both sites have plenty of free activities from trails, family fun and artisan markets, promising to offer an affordable family day out for everyone!
