Make a splash this Summer at Carsington Water, Tittesworth Water and the Upper Derwent Valley

We know it’s been a long hot summer so we want families to join us this August to learn all about our amazing water system and how you can help protect it in a fun and engaging way. Follow the Water Saving Hero trail, solve the clues and discover simple ways to save water at home while exploring the great outdoors. Best of all, every completed trail can enter a prize giveaway… anyone can enter!

Carsington Water

Families can enjoy miles trails offering traffic free walks and cycle routes, let little ones burn off energy in the playground, or visit the free Wonderful World of Water exhibition to learn more about our water network. Plus, don’t miss the Family Fun Day on Wednesday 19th August, 10am-4pm, packed with activities, entertainment and family-friendly fun for a memorable summer day out including inflatables, face painting and mini beasts.

Tittesworth Water

Enjoy stunning scenery, easy walking trails and plenty of space for picnics. Families can spend the day spotting wildlife, exploring the play area or taking a leisurely stroll around the reservoir. The free Water Saving Heroes Trail throughout August encourages everyone to learn water saving tips and tricks, and comes with the added bonus of the big prize giveaway.

Upper Derwent Valley

For a day immersed in history and nature, head to the Upper Derwent Valley. Home to breathtaking landscapes and iconic dams, the valley offers fantastic walking routes and opportunities to discover the area’s rich heritage. The free Water Saving Heroes Trail throughout August, plus the Dam Builders to Dambusters trail with free kid’s pop-out activity sheet giving a great intro to the area.
