Hardwick, Derbyshire

Autumn is one of the best times of year and Longshaw Estate is inviting you to go on a digital discovery of folklore and magic. Ilam Park and The White Peak, Derbyshire

Well known for the famous stepping stones at Dovedale, the area around Ilam Park and The White Peak is dramatic, mystical and the perfect amount of eerie for an autumnal walk. Calke Abbey, Derbyshire

Listen out for rutting stags in the distance, kick up the vibrant leaves through the tramway trails and look out for 'Old Man of Calke' a 1,200 year old oak tree. Full to the brim with history, Calke Abbey offers the perfect walks for crisp mornings where you can really head out into nature, and over the Halloween period plan one of their Bat Discovery Trails to truly immerse yourself into spooky season.

Foremark, Derbyshire

Another wonderful walk that will immerse you in nature, join in with the 'Fungi Friday' guided walk and learn all there is to know about how to identify Foremarks extrordinarly fascinating fungi - booking online is essential! There are 230 acres of habitat to explore and 200 types of bird, their reserve is full of life with ample opportunity to see autumn in full swing.

Staunton Harold, Derbyshire

Why not extend your trip and link your walk around Calke Abbey to Staunton Harold? With resevoir views and meadows that paint a beautiful picture of reds and oranges in the Autumn.
