Ashbourne Gateway Lodge

Ashbourne Gateway Lodge is located on the edge of the famous market town of Ashbourne, on the gateway to the Peak District.

After a 18 month renovation project, Ashbourne Gateway Lodge opened as a brand new hostel in the summer of 2026.

We have seven bedrooms all with private bathrooms with a sleeping capacity for 35 people. The facilities include a new lounge & dining area, well equipped self-catering kitchen, a drying room and a cycle store. The entrance overlooks a large patio with tables for outside dining and BBQ’s.

Adjacent to the hostel are two self-catering apartments, one sleeping two people and the other sleeping four people.

The hostel is ideal for indivduals, family groups, walking & cycling holidays, residential workshops and school & youth groups.

 Within a few minutes’ walk there are numerous pubs, restaurants, take-aways and shops. The indoor leisure with a pool, gym and badminton courts and Sainsburys are both less than 200 meters away.

Opposite our front door and less than 50 meters away is the start of the Tissington Trail which goes into the heart of the Peak District. It’s ideal for walking and safe off-road cycling

The hostel is part of the new Link Centre, where you will  find the Cornerstone Coffee house which is open Monday to Saturday and provides breakfast and lunch.

The Link Centre also has a selection of three halls and two meeting rooms which can be hired for activities or meetings by groups booking Gateway Lodge.
