Welcome to the Cathedral Church of All Saints Derby. This is a jewel of a building, glittering with life and colour especially when the sun shines through the clear glass windows. There are many fascinating monuments around the walls which tell an unfolding history of a thousand years. As a place of sanctuary and worship, you are invited to visit, and appreciate the calm and space for reflection and prayer.
The Cathedral Church of All Saints was founded in 943, and is at the heart of a modern city of making. It is one of Derby’s most beautiful and historic sites and holds many important monuments of Derby’s and Derbyshire’s past. Inside you will find many treasures such as the tomb of Bess of Hardwick, a memorial to Florence Nightingale and the impressive wrought iron screen by Robert Bakewell. There is much to find out about the Cathedral’s stories and history.
The Cathedral is a place that is open to all to visit, and there is no entry fee, although donations are welcomed. Please check our website for service times and events taking place throughout the year.
