Ecclesbourne Valley Railway
The Ecclesbourne Valley Railway is a 9 mile heritage railway running both steam and diesel hauled trains.
About
The Ecclesbourne Valley Railway is a 9 mile heritage railway running both steam and diesel hauled trains between the historic town of Wirksworth, our main station, and Duffield a village a few miles from the City of Derby. Wirksworth Station hosts our small museum which is packed with memorabilia of days gone by, a gift shop, the Station Café which is housed in a static railway carriage and the Apollo Bar. On certain days we also operate a miniature railway, a model railway and also a narrow gauge railway. All this makes for a great day out whether you want to watch the beautiful Derbyshire countryside roll by whilst relaxing on a journey or investigating all that our station and the surrounding area has to offer.
