About
The Little Mill Inn is on the western edges of the Peak District, we are a traditional country pub in the old hamlet of Rowarth with deluxe en suite accommodation and motorhome & campervan pitches – we have walks or cycle rides straight from the front door on miles and miles’ worth of country paths with restoring ales and home cooked food to look forward to on your return.
Lounge in the spacious outdoor seating area next to the stream if the sun’s bearing down on this leafy part of Derbyshire or make your way indoors to the logfire if you’re seeking shelter from the weather – we assure that both muddy boots and paws are welcome at the inn.
When safely ensconced indoors, kick off your shoes and curl up in front of the flames to use the wifi or go peer at the pub’s historic waterwheel and the Derbyshire Belle (an antique Pullman train carriage used on the London to Brighton train line) at this history-packed place that used to be a candlewick production mill back in the 1780s.
Our Deluxe Shepherds Hut is a brand new addition for 2024.Bought new as a shell we have spent months meticulously fitting out the interior, the beautiful soft furnishings give the hut a warm and cozy traditional feel.
Features include a double bed, electric log burner, flat screen TV, en suite bathroom with walk in shower, sink, kettle, tea, coffee etc.Conveniently situated in our extensive gardens (but still close to the pub) next to our chef’s greenhouse and herb garden. Outside it has it’s own covered seating area with views of the gardens. Being in the Peak District with lots of walking and cycling routes straight from the door, dogs and muddy paws are of course welcome.
Our Food. We’re proud of everything that goes into our delicious, homemade meals. Our team of chefs make almost everything from scratch, and are always on the lookout for the freshest seasonal produce to create exciting new dishes for you. We are also proud to support British food and farming.
The small towns of Marple and New Mills are only 10 minutes' drive away, where a variety of shops, train stations and bus connections are available.
