The Nicholson Museum & Art Gallery is located in the Nicholson Institute, a spectacular grade II* Listed building. Built in 1884 as a library, museum and art gallery it is still used for that purpose today.

The Museum collects and displays items relating to the history of the Staffordshire Moorlands. The collection includes paintings, textiles, ceramics and items representing everyday life.
