About

Free to park, you can sit and enjoy a breakfast sandwich, coffee and cake, or a spot of light lunch in Quackers Cafe, which is open every day between 10am and 4pm. There is no need to book and dogs are always welcome! (You do not need to pay the garden entrance fee to access Quackers café). Serving delicious sweet and savoury treats, our cakes are from our on-site bakery The Bakehouse, and our incredible sausage rolls are made here on the Estate using meat from The Thornbridge Smallholding. We stock a range of produce from The Thornbridge Smallholding which is available for you to buy and take home.

We serve one of the best traditional Afternoon Teas in the Peak District, you can even add a glass of fizz! You can also order an Afternoon Tea Box which you can take into the gardens to enjoy. We do ask that all Afternoon Teas are booked in advance.

Hiking on the Monsal Trail? Drop in for a cheeky vino or a pint - we always have a few Thornbridge Brewery beers on draught as well as a good range of cans and bottles in the fridge.

We ensure that we have the best selection of choices for those with dietary requirements, catering for gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian diets. Please ask our cafe staff about options!

Picnics
We kindly ask that guests do not bring their own picnics, however, all cafe items can be served as a takeaway for you to enjoy in The Gardens.

How to Find us
Direct access from the Monsal Trail for walkers and cyclists and plenty of bike racks to leave your bike.

Access by car is via the A6020, Hassop to Ashford Road just off the A6.
Follow our Parkland Drive to our brand new car park. There is a drop off zone outside the café and 5 disabled parking bays next to the café.
