    A Stroll Through Greenaway’s Garden – A Family Springtime Gathering at Buxton Crescent Experience

    Step into the enchanting world of Victorian illustrator Kate Greenaway this spring – a family-friendly event inspired by her timeless illustrations of playful children, blooming gardens, and charming countryside scenes.

    Kate Greenway was a bestselling Victorian children’s author popular for her idyllic stories and poetry and the Greenway medal is still awarded today to British children’s book illustrators.

    At the Buxton Crescent Experience, we will be bringing the characters, stories and illustrations that have delighted families and children for over 100 years.

    Activities include:
    Dressing up – Try on costumes inspired by Greenaway’s iconic fashions.
    Story Corner – Share Greenaway’s classic tales and poems.
    Easter biscuit decorating –
    Basket Making – weave or craft a small Easter basket
    Nature Drawing – Sketch flowers and plants just like Greenaway might have done.
    Paper flowers – create a spring floral wreath or floral crown

    10am, 11:30 am, 1:30pm, 3pm

    Lasts approximately 90 minutes

    £11.99 Adults, £6 Children, under 4s free
