Bernard Ilsley The London Medium - New Book Launch 'Ultra Velum '

Bernard Ilsley, The London Medium, will be holding the official launch of his new book, Ultra Velum, at Chatsworth House on Friday 16 October 2026.

The book has a very special connection with Chatsworth and includes some of Bernard’s own experiences there over the years, together with stories surrounding the house, its history and the world of mediumship. During one of Bernard’s theatre performances at Chatsworth House, he received a message connected with Mary, Queen of Scots. That remarkable experience later became part of the story behind Ultra Velum.

At the book launch, Bernard will be performing his Mary, Queen of Scots poem, together with readings from Ultra Velum and stories about some of the experiences behind the book. There will also be a special Meet & Greet from 1pm, with priority entrance, front-row seating and a signed copy of Ultra Velum included for Meet & Greet ticket holders.

Chatsworth House Friday 16 October 2026 Meet & Greet from 1pm For anyone living in Bakewell, Baslow, Chatsworth or the surrounding Peak District, this should be a particularly interesting local event because of Bernard’s long-standing connection with Chatsworth House.
