Buxton Belle Époque

Two dances. One weekend. The @Buxton Belle Époque 2026!

About

5th June 2026 - 7th June 2026

Start on Friday 5th June with the Spa Workers’ Ceilidh – a lively, welcoming evening inspired by the people who kept the spa town running. Expect live folk music, traditional dances, and no experience needed – just join in. Held within the historic Buxton Assembly Room. (Period costume is encouraged and we can assist)

Then on Saturday 6th June, step into the elegance of the Belle Époque Ball. Held in the Assembly Rooms, the evening begins with a drinks reception and canapés before dancing to live music, with guidance throughout – and an optional afternoon dance lesson if you want to get into the swing of it.

Period dress is encouraged, so it’s a chance to really immerse yourself in the era. (If you don't have costume we can help!)

Both events are part of the Belle Époque Weekend at the Buxton Crescent Assembly Rooms – from lively working class ceilidh to a full evening of Victorian and Edwardian splendour.

Other features are being planned during the daytime over the weekend.

The events support the charitable activities of the Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust
