The Georgian Re-enactment Weekend returns with a bang as our site is transformed into a living, breathing 18th-century encampment.

Expect thrilling black powder demonstrations, authentic blacksmithing displays, period soldier tents, traditional camp life, Georgian tavern scenes and so much more.

Throughout the weekend, you’ll encounter walk-about characters, immersive displays, hands-on demonstrations and lively skits that vividly bring the drama and atmosphere of the Georgian era to life. From military drills to domestic crafts, discover the sights, sounds and skills that shaped everyday life during this fascinating period of history.

It’s a fantastic event for the whole family — a chance to step back more than 250 years and experience what life might have been like when Cromford Mill was first developed. Set against the backdrop of this remarkable historic site, it’s an opportunity to see history unfold in the very place where industrial innovation was changing the world.
