About
22nd June 2026
7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
The acclaimed violinist Fenella Humphreys and internationally renowned pianist Martin Roscoe have performed together in various formats. Both are award winning artists, known for their sensitivity, musicianship and rapport with the audience. Their programme of romantic and lyrical music evokes the atmosphere of the seasons and natural world, through emotive and characterful works. For Bradfield they are performing two of the best known works for violin and piano duo, Beethoven's 'Spring Sonata' and Vaughan William's' 'Lark ascending' in its original version for violin and piano as well as works equally deserving of being more widely performed. The programme will include: Lili Boulanger: 'D’un Matin de Printemps', Rebecca Clarke: 'Midsummer Moon', Sergei Prokofiev: 5 Melodies, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor: 'Ballade' and 'Tracing' a new work written for the duo by Sally Beamish.
