Well Dressing is the art of decorating springs or wells with pictures made of natural products.

Newborough will be holding its Well Dressing Event on May Day Monday 5th May 2025. This will be a traditional village fete with Maypole Dancing, Morris Dancers, Stalls and Entertainment incl. Magic Show and a Dog Show.
Puddling the Clay will be at 10am Saturday 26th April . Wells in the Making: April 29th until Friday 2nd May at various times in a marquee in a field off Yoxall Road, entrance opposite Squirrels Corner.
There will be 5 wells dressed-
Hollybush Road Well a short distance along Hollybush Road from the crossroads
Duffield Well next to the restored old village pump, on Duffield Lane (the main road from Burton-upon-Trent)
Needwood School Well outside a house on Yoxall Road, just beyond the School
Memorial Well Dressings 2 dressings in the churchyard of All Saints Church
Newborough is located on the B5234 between Burton-upon-Trent and Abbots Bromley.
