Well-know to Sheffield audiences and beyond as part of Ensemble 360, Tim Horton (piano),Rachel Roberts (viola) and Robert Plane (clarinet) formed Trio Meister Raro in 2022 to further explore the repertoire for their mellow instrument combination. Named after one of Robert Schumann's creative alter-ego's, Trio Meister Raro’s repertoire focuses on storytelling and fantasy and this narrative element is reflected in tonight’s programme. Works to be performed include: C Debussy: 'Premiere Rhapsodie', E York Bowen: 'Phantasie', R Schumann:'Märchenerzählungen' (Fairytales), H Watkins: 'Speak Seven Seas', J Holbrooke: 'Nocturne No 1 Fairyland', W Mozart: 'Trio for Clarinet, Viola and Piano In E flat major, 'Kegelstatt'
Tickets: £23, £10 (under25's) Doors open 19:00, event starts 19:30 All concerts are held in the medieval St Nicholas' Church, High Bradfield, Sheffield S6 6LG
