Cyanotype Printing Workshop at Chatsworth

Cyanotype is a simple, versatile, and creative process that uses light-sensitive coatings to produce striking, deep-blue images. 
 
During this one-day workshop, you will learn: 
 
•  How to accurately measure, mix, and apply the chemical solution to your paper 
•  The essential steps for preparing a digital photo to create a cyanotype negative 
•  How to expose your coated paper using a negative — or alternative objects and subjects 
•  Hands-on experimentation with creating cyanotypes using a variety of objects 
•  How to develop, dry, and evaluate your finished prints 
 
We will have a range of negative images and flowers/leaves for you to use - please feel to bring along any leaves or flowers from your own garden too. 
 
This will be a relaxed creative session. No previous experience of collagraph printing is required, all abilities are very welcome and our tutor will carefully guide you through each stage of the process. Adults only.

This workshop also includes entry to the gardens to explore at your own pace.
