A grand day of journeying along the course of the River Kinder.
About Kinder River Trek To The Source - Guided Walk
From it’s confluence with the River Sett in Hayfield, we explore upstream local landmarks, the fairy bridge, woodland, plunge pools, waterfalls and mythology. We then trace a route across the Kinder Plateau, through the maze of cloughs to find the source of the River Kinder and true summit.
But the adventure is not over, as we descend there are more scenic delights and photo opportunities.
ITINERARY
0800 Meet in Hayfield, Bowden Bridge Car Park
0830 Begin our walk
1600 Appox time back at car park
Timings are approximate
Distance 15km (10 miles)
Total ascent for the day is 538 metres
At times the terrain underfoot is rocky and may be boggy
Guided by local Mountain Leader, Stu, with a maximum of 8 guests for a quality, uncrowded experience
