Top Rope Rigging Course

This Climbing Course in the Peak District is run over 2 days. It is aimed at people who want to learn how to look after themselves safely whilst they are climbing.

About Top Rope Rigging Course

Do you want to become a more independent climber? If the answer is yes, then our top rope rigging course will teach you the skills you need. For instance, some of the skills that we cover include; understanding the equipment and its limitations, placing good gear, principles of rigging and knots. Learning and practicing these are essential for your own safety. Therefore, you will be given plenty of time to practice each element.

Ideally this course will suit people who have climbed before. However you will be doing some climbing to help build your confidence in your own ability. Also bear in mind that the main focus of this course is to learn how to set up top rope systems. Our climbing instructors are here to help you learn, so please feel free to ask as many questions as possible. We will provide all the technical equipment and will also provide harnesses and helmets if you don't have your own.

Please note that this is not a Learn to Lead Climbing Course.

👉 If you're new to climbing rigging, you will need at least 2 days of training, but longer courses are available if required - contact us for a bespoke quote.

👉 Refresher sessions are available as single or multiple days but must be booked as a private course.

Location: All our climbing courses are based around the Eastern Edges in the Derbyshire Peak District. This means we are close to crags such as Stanage Edge, Burbage North or Millstone.

We can run this course on demand and it works well with 2 people who climb together. To contact us please use this link . We require a minimum of 2 people for the open course to run.
