Explore the Romance of Haddon Hall

Start the day at Haddon Hall, one of England’s best-preserved medieval manor houses and a favourite filming location for period dramas such as Pride & Prejudice and Jane Eyre. Guests can enjoy a private guided tour exploring the Hall’s rich history, atmospheric interiors, and beautiful Elizabethan terraced gardens overlooking the River Wye.

Bakewell Pudding Making Experience

Head to the charming market town of Bakewell, home of the world-famous Bakewell Pudding. Guests can enjoy a hands-on Bakewell Pudding making experience, followed by refreshments and light lunch in the on-site Old Original Bakewell Pudding Shop Café. A unique and delicious way to connect with the region’s culinary heritage.
Fun fact: Jane Austen was allegedly inspired by Bakewell whilst writing Pride & Prejudice and is believed to have based Lambton on the town!

Discover the splendour of Chatsworth

Spend the afternoon exploring the magnificent Chatsworth House & Gardens – the stately home of the Cavendish family for 17 generations. Visitors can explore lavish interiors, world-class art collections, and over 100 acres of gardens including fountains, a rock garden, maze, and seasonal displays. Bespoke guided tours available for groups.

Fun fact: Chatsworth was the home of Mr Darcy in the 2005 film version of Pride & Prejudice!

Traditional Afternoon Tea at The Cavendish

Round off the day with a relaxing afternoon tea at The Cavendish Hotel, set on the Chatsworth Estate with beautiful views over the Derbyshire countryside. Guests can enjoy classic English scones, cakes, and sandwiches in elegant surroundings – a perfect way to end the day in style.
Fun fact: The Cavendish was recently crowned Hotel of the Year by The Times and Sunday Times in 2025, and also the AA!
