    About

Something very big has popped up on the usually beautifully manicured lawns of a National Trust property in the Peak District. From 19 July throughout the summer you can visit Pepperpot in the peaceful parkland of Ilam Park. The 4-metre-high outdoor sculpture was created and unveiled by acclaimed international contemporary artist Bruce Asbestos, who’s known for bringing a fun, modern take to places steeped in history.

This summer a ‘Mole Mission’ adventure trail across Ilam Park’s grounds has been designed to appeal to families. Visitors can see where else Pepperpot the Mole appears, finding out facts about moles and nature along the way. Ten free drop-in craft workshops for children are on offer to learn about the ‘hidden nature’ within Ilam Park’s grounds. Workshops start on 29 July and Pepperpot the Mole will be above ground and free to view until 2 November. Ilam Park does not charge an entry free and National Trust members park for free.
