Trail directions
This cycle route starts in Hathersage, where there are numerous shops, pubs and cafes including The George, an historic inn serving wood-fired pizzas, burgers and local ales.
Leaving the station turn left on the main road under the railway bridge
After crossing the River Derwent turn right to Abney and the Gliding Club at the Plough (take care crossing road)
Continue uphill, passing through Abney and past the gliding club and continue to T junction, turn right
Continue downhill then turn left (signpost Grindlow)
Turn left at T junction towards Foolow.
Pass the Bulls Head in the centre of Foolow and continue to the village of Eyam. Turn left after the school
Bear left at the T junction in the direction of Riley Graves
Continue straight on where the road is closed to motor and horse drawn vehicles
Turn left at the T junction (B6001). Take care as busy road.
In Grindleford turn left uphill (signpost Hathersage) on the B6001. Take care as busy road. Turn right back to Hathersage railway station.
