Alton, The Star Camping and Caravanning Club Site

Close to the rolling hills of the Peak District National Park, our Club Site at Alton, The Star offers plenty of choice when it comes to heading outdoors. The site is located a mile from Alton Towers theme park, which has a host of family attractions ranging from adrenaline-fuelled roller coasters through to gentler rides for little ones.

If you’re looking for something a little quieter, the site is ideally placed to explore both the Peak District National Park and the Staffordshire Moorlands, with plenty of walks and natural beauty. Chatsworth House is nearby, and the area has a selection of market towns and steam railways to enjoy. Further afield you’ll find a number of spas, great shopping centres and museums all showing off the heritage of this famous area. Pottery houses also abound, where you’ll find plenty of examples of the regional classic Wedgwood. Non-members welcome. Waste disposal point. Large ROSPA inspected play area, family bathroom.
