About
Beechenhill Farm is a family farm at the heart of the beautiful White Peak, beside the spectacular Dovedale Gorge and above the pretty village of Ilam.
We have 3 beautiful self catering cottages that have cosy wood burners and all the mod-cons that you need to have a fantastic holiday.
If you want a romantic cottage for two we can accommodate you in either Beechenhill Cottage or The Old Wash House. If there are more of you, we can open up the second bedroom in The Old Wash House, making a cottage for four, or you can stay in our spacious comfortable cottage for six, our wheelchair accessible Cottage by the Pond. Alternatively, book the whole farm for a reunion or family get together of up to 12 people.
We're passionate about our place and enabling you to enjoy it. We have a Swedish style hot tub and wood fired barrel sauna (separate, and both available at extra cost) located outside in a private secluded part of the farm's gardens, if booked you get exclusive use all evening (Please check availability before booking), and miles of walks from the door. Welcome....
People have lived and farmed at Beechenhill since earliest times, there is a prehistoric farmstead on our lower fields. There is a feeling of history and continuity here and we delight in sharing our home with our guests. We want to look after our place and our guests in a sustainable way so we can all enjoy Beechenhill into the future.
Relax...
Just come and relax, lie in the long organic grass in our meadows or over-sleep in the cottages. Wake up to the sight of our cows or hens ambling past the window or the scent of fresh bread and sizzling local bacon.
