Church Farm, Alsop en-le Dale. Our two beautifully presented and well equipped self-catering cottages, Pinster and Winnets are a perfect places to relax.
Whether your desire is to embark on scenic walks, exhilarating cycling adventures, or simply unwind and savour some downtime, you can rest assured that Church Farm Holiday Cottages are the ultimate destination. From the moment you step into our warm, inviting abode, greeted by a table set for tea and a freshly baked cake, to the breath-taking vistas of the Peak District that surround you, you'll quickly feel right at home in either of our two recently refurbished cottages: Pinster, accommodating three guests, and Winnets, which sleeps four and is dog-friendly.
Our two Self Catering Cottages rated 4 Star by Visit England, nestle at the head of Alsop Dale, next to the Norman Church of St Michaels and all Angels, in the White Peak area of the Peak District National Park. The cottages are “Walkers” and “Cyclist Welcome” approved and have the Peak District Environmental Quality Mark. They have been refurbished throughout this Spring, are luxuriously equipped, from the kitchen through to the WiFi and South Facing onto the picturesque cobbled farm yard, where you can plan your next day’s adventure, whilst you sit and relax with a glass of wine.
Your dventures can commence right at your cottage's doorstep, with a network of footpaths leading in all directions, connecting to the Tissington Trail, Dovedale, and numerous circular walking routes. Cyclists of all levels will discover suitable routes, whether opting for a leisurely ride along the Tissington or Manifold trails or tackling the more challenging hills of Derbyshire, including the infamous Cat and Fiddle (consult our website for detailed walking and cycling guides). We provide secure cycle storage, and if you lack the space to bring your bike, local rental options are available. For those interested in pony trekking or rock climbing, these activities are easily accessible in the vicinity.
Our cottages serve as an ideal base for those seeking to explore historic stately homes such as Chatsworth or Haddon Hall or to meander through the charming shops of Georgian towns like Ashbourne or Buxton. You can also venture out to discover the local market towns and villages in Derbyshire and neighboring Staffordshire.
