Tucked away in the picturesque village of Rowsley on the edge of the Peak District, LEVEL is an award-winning contemporary arts centre that specialises in visual, digital and performing art. The centre was purpose-built in 2008 as an accessible creative space that's flooded with natural light. We're open year-round, with a packed programme of visual art exhibitions, interactive digital installations and creative events that are suitable for all ages. The exhibitions change every few months so there's always something different to come and see, and best of all, the exhibitions are free to visit!

LEVEL is a charity that celebrates the art that ‘difference’ makes, producing and promoting high quality contemporary art that is powerful and relevant. Much of the work that you see at the centre has been produced by or with disabled artists.
Directions:
Level is based in Rowsley on the A6, five miles north of Matlock and three miles south of Bakewell. Use postcode DE4 2EL for Sat Nav.
From the North: take the A6 Manchester to Derby road and follow signs to Bakewell. From Bakewell continue on the A6 signposted to Matlock. After three miles, pass the Grouse & Claret pub on the left and turn next right into Old Station Close.
From the South: take the A6 from Derby and follow signs to Matlock. At Matlock stay on the A6 and follow the signs to Buxton/ Manchester. After approx four miles turn left into Old Station Close.
Parking:
There's a free public car park on Old Station Close and two accessible parking spaces in front of the Level Centre building.
