About
Welcome to Spring House Farm Cottages, Castleton – holiday accommodation in the Peak District. The location includes two holiday cottages, a shepherd’s hut and a four bedroom house, all available for guests to rent for short and/or longer stays.
Spring House Farm offers four self catering holiday units. The cottages, Harry Eyre Cottage (2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms/sleeps 4, well behaved dogs welcome) and Shippon Cottage (1 bedroom/1 bathroom/sleeps 2-3, well behaved dogs welcome) are set in a very attractive Grade II listed courtyard. Both cottages are available 12 months a year for short and longer stays.
Additionally, Spring House Farm offers a Shepherd’s Hut, (sleeps 2, no dogs or children) set in its own private garden terrace area. The hut is fitted with all the modern conveniences plus has stunning views of Mam Tor. Again this is available for short and longer stays throughout the year.
Finally, Spring House (4 bedrooms/2 bathrooms/sleeps 8, well behaved dogs welcome) is available for nine weeks through July to September for 7 or 14 night stays only.
Guests can book, one, two, three or all four units according to their numbers, needs and dates. All offer excellent ultrafast 100mbps WiFi speed connections.
Spring House Farm is a 10-15 minute walk along lanes and tracks to the pretty village of Castleton. It is situated on the iconic Mam Tor – Lose Hill ‘Great Ridge’ walk. The location is perfect for those walking, cycling, climbing, sight-seeing or just relaxing within the Peak District www.peakdistrict.gov.uk
Spring House Farm is 25 minutes from both Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. It is a similar distance to the historic market towns of Bakewell and Buxton (home to the annual International Buxton Festival) and to the historic village of Eyam. The Edale Valley is literally over the hill and marks the beginning of the Pennine Way whilst the Limestone Way begins (or ends depending on direction of travel) in Castleton.
The location offers lots of lock-up space for bikes, climbing equipment or whatever kit you might like to bring with you on holiday. There is ample parking for 1 or 2 cars for each cottage unit.
