About
Set in moorland on the edge of the Chatsworth Estate, The Hide is a place to unwind, reconnect and make the most of everything the Peak District has to offer. Step out the back door and you’re immediately surrounded by nature, step into our restaurant and you’ll taste the essence of the great outdoors. A stay at The Hide offers everything you need for an adventure, and everything you want on your return.
Dine Out
Inspired by classic outdoor cooking, The Hide creates the feeling of eating food by the campfire, shared with others, in the landscape of the Peak District. We welcome families, walkers, riders, groups and dog owners, whether passing by or staying the night.
Chef Adam Harper curates the menu at The Hide, working with Chatsworth gardeners and farmers and local suppliers to source the best Peak District ingredients, we create smoky feasts on the grill, wood-fired pizzas in stone ovens, steaks and burgers, all served with family style sides.
Dessert is served with kids in mind, with an ice cream and topping station, and s’mores by the fire pit when the weather allows. Breakfast is a spread of hearty, healthy food that will set you up for the day ahead.
For those riding and walking out, we’ll prepare a ploughman’s lunch tiffin box, with tea and cake ready for your return.
We welcome walkers and walk-ins, so there’s no need to book, unless you’re a group of eight or more. To book a larger group please call 01246 383572.
Use the QR code on your table or order with our team at the bar. Please note that we’re only able to accept card payments.
