Each lodge sleeps two adults, is dog friendly and the whole site is available for group hire, sleeping 8.

The Outside-Inn Wirksworth provides both a beautiful countryside location and a convenient base for your Derbyshire and Peak District holiday. Newly opened in Summer 2025, our luxury boutique lodges accommodate up to two guests, perfect for a short break or romantic weekend get-away.

Each lodge enjoys a fantastic view overlooking the market town of Wirksworth, near Matlock, nestled within the beautiful Ecclesbourne valley. Local attractions include walking and cycling on the High Peak Trail (just one mile away) and onwards into the Peak District, Carsington Water, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and the Derwent Valley Mills UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Each lodge has an open plan layout with a luxurious king-sized bed, sumptuous, hypoallergenic, Mulberry silk-filled duvet & pillows with crisp, white bed linen, spacious ensuite shower room with Era toiletries, and well-equipped kitchenette.

Lodges are furnished in a contemporary style with all the home comforts of modern living, including two-seater settee, coffee table, dining table and chairs, Bosch Tassimo coffee machine, Smart TV and complimentary WiFi. French doors open onto a private patio area with table and chairs. BBQs for two are available - perfect for alfresco dining while enjoying the breathtaking views!

All lodges are dog friendly. Your pooch will be welcomed with a super comfy bed, bowl, dog towels and some tasty treats. There is an outdoor dog shower/bicycle cleaning station.

Each lodge has a designated car parking space a short walk away (bag drop off allowed) where EV charging is available. The largest of our lodges, Derwent Lodge, has a super king-sized bed (or two singles) and an adjacent car parking space.

The site is adults-only. Exclusive-use bookings are welcome (children may be included with exclusive hire, please get in touch to discuss your requirements). Reservations are based on a 2-night minimum stay with discounts available for longer stays.

• Please note: the lodges do not have secure gardens (to maintain the open aspect of the view) so dogs must always be kept under close control. Dogs must not be left unattended in the lodge and are not allowed on the furniture.
