    This ancient custom is unique to Derbyshire and is the art of decorating springs and wells with pictures made from natural materials.

    The Blessing is on May 24, 10:00a.m. (TBC)

    In 2024, there were five:

    1. Village Well Dressing outside the Church Hall on the north side of The Green

    2. Wessington School Well Dressing (until 2010 and from 2015) at the northwest corner of The Green, near its junction with School Lane

    3. Millennium Oak Well Dressings 3 dressings on The Green, near the Millennium Oak

    Brackenfield is located about 1km north of the A615 Matlock to Alfreton road at Wessington.
