Calling all early birds to celebrate International Dawn Chorus Day for a 5am walk around Hardwick

As the sun rises and nature awakens, immerse yourself in the enchanting melodies of the dawn chorus!
This mindful morning bird walk experience will be led by one of Hardwick’s own bird enthusiasts to help identify the charming chirping of British songbirds. It is hoped to hear/spot birds including thrushes, blackcaps, warblers and finches, among many more. This gentle paced walk of between 3 and 3.5 miles will start at 5am and is expected to finish at 8.30am. There may be areas of moderate difficulty as the route includes a hill and some rough terrain.
Tickets are £10 and booking is essential. Online booking only. Please check out the National Trust website for full details: www.nationaltrust.org.uk/hardwick Suitability: This walk is suitable for children aged 14 and over.
Meeting point: Please meet the start of Lady Spencer’s Wood. There will be the chance to use the toilets in the car park before the walk commences. What to bring and wear: Please wear sturdy outdoor shoes and outdoor clothing in line with the weather. Bring appropriate snacks and water, if needed. Binoculars are great, but not essential for the experience. Accessibility: There are accessible toilets and parking located in the Stableyard.
Please note that this walk is along uneven terrain and is not wheelchair accessible.
