Well Dressings are a unique and ancient Derbyshire tradition consisting of pictures made of flowers, petals and leaves pressed into clay-covered boards.

In addition to our large Hipper Well, there will also be a smaller Whispering Well and a Children’s Well at the same location.
Holymoorside well dressings are unusual in that we always build the well dressings on site, in the open air, and we welcome visitors to come and see the work in progress, and even have a go - Making Well Dressings: August 22nd to 26th August, 10.00 to 18.00 on site.
The Well Dressings are on Cotton Mill Hill, Holymoorside, S42 7EJ, they are located adjacent to the River Hipper at the bottom of Cotton Mill Hill, next to the UR Chapel, 100m East of The Bull Pub. What3Words: ///crypt.garden.producing
