    This ancient custom is all but unique to Derbyshire. It's the art of decorating wells and springs with pictures made using only natural materials.

    Well Dressing – on The Square at the junction of Titchfield Street and Station Road

    Making of the Pictures - Monday 7th July - Friday 11th July, Whitwell Scout and Guide HQ, Recreation Ground, Off Welbeck Street, Whitwell, all welcome.

    Well Dressing Day Saturday 12 July with a parade at 2pm and refreshments, stalls and games in Whitwell Community Centre.

    Pictures displayed in The Square and The Green Whitwell.

    Whitwell is located about 6km east of Barlborough and junction 30 of the M1, between the A616 to Newark and the A619 to Worksop.
