Explore the pretty town of Chapel-en-le-Frith
Chapel-en-le Frith is the next stop along the route, here you can explore cobbled streets and historic sights, as well as a wealth of cafés, pubs, restaurants and independent shops. Try the Eccles House walk to the viewpoint at Eccles Pike for stunning views.

Mam Tor - a circular walk with spectacular views
The stone surfaced footpath from The Mam Tor Top stop will reward you with one of the most dramatic vistas in the Peak District. From the viewpoint you can see north over the Edale Valley to Kinder Scout and the Derwent Moors. This circular route takes you round Mam Tor and has some amazing scenery.

Take a walk from Edale
Edale is a beautiful village which marks the start of the Pennine Way – a long distance walking trail that takes you to the Scottish borders. Its also a popular starting point to climb Kinder Scout, the Peak District’s highest point.

Explore Hope and the surrounding hills
Next along the route is the pretty village of Hope which has a range of hills to the north including Win Hill and Losehill. The village has a selection of cafés and pubs and each year the town has a beer festival and a well dressing.

Enjoy an underground adventure.
Last stop is Castleton, one of the most beautifully-situated villages in the Peak District. As you approach through the dramatic limestone gorge of Winnats Pass you are treated to the most spectacular views of the limestone and gritstone landscape Castleton is also the only place in the world where the semi-precious stone Blue John, unique to the Peak District and Derbyshire, can be found and there are numerous show caverns to explore.
Castleton is also another perfect starting point to walk to Mam Tor, locally known as the 'Shivering Mountain'. Fortify yourself in numerous cafés, tea rooms and pubs before heading off to tackle the Great Ridge Walk, one of the finest routes of its kind in the country.
