The Phoenix Greenways
Whether you come for the day, a weekend or a longer stay, there is plenty for the family to do, visit and explore. A network of traffic free walking trails, cycle paths and bridleways.

You can use the Phoenix Greeways to discover some of Derbyshire’s unexplored and stunning landscapes. With a wealth of attractions nearby – from the historic homes of Hardwick hall, Renishaw hall and Bolsolver Castle to the ancient Ice Age caverns at Creswell Crags.
The Phoenix Greenways link the Five Pits, Silverhill and Pleasley-Teversal Trails to the local countryside and popular attractions.
Enjoy all that the Phoenix Greenways has to offer. Whether you are walking, cycling or horse riding, with over 20 miles of easy access off-road routes and quiet lanes there is lots to do and explore.

Trail directions
From the car park at Pleasley Pit Country Park follow the Rowthorne Walking Trail to Hardwick Hall where you can pick up a circular route around the parkland of the Hall.
Alternatively from Pleasley Pit Country Park follow the Teversal Trail, a walking, cycling and bridleway, to the Teversal Visitor Centre by Silverhill Woods.
From the Teversal Visitor Centre the Silverhill Trail will take you to Tibshelf Ponds.
From Tibshelf the Five Pits Trail takes you all the way to Williamthorpe Nature Reserve
