This ancient custom is unique to Derbyshire and is the art of decorating springs and wells with pictures made from natural materials.
- Well Blessing service is on Wednesday 13th August 2025 at 6.30pm in St Lawrence Church, Barlow followed by a procession of blessing the wells
- There are three wells in Barlow but none are available for the public to view whilst being prepared.
- For information, Barlow carnival day is on Saturday 19th August
Barlow Well Dressing can be found opposite The Peacock pub on Hackney Lane,
Barlow is located on the B6051 about 6km northwest of Chesterfield.
